there's o no need to compile for mac... its java!! and thas (almost) platform independent!!
If you want to run the stuff, you can use the ant - command (I assume you don't know this either...) so here my steps: open up thte terminal. type "cd ", then drag the re5-folder inside then enter... then you can start the server with typeing "ant server" and enter. this primarly what the red5.app or the red5.sh do... and you've got to copy your project into the appropriate place in the new red5 version. hope this helps.
