Hello,
The latest installers are below (mine is a drag and drop, the other
one is a package installer (the one on the red5 site, I just never
posted new link there - they are the same otherwise - I just prefer
drag and drop install)
This will allow you start running from the applications folder
(Red5)- this can be used in conjunction with MAMP for local testing
if needs be
http://www.webedition-cms.com/english/downloads/mamp.php (its free)
Yes you need to make sure the right port is open for external
deployment on a real server (mamp pro* possibly) - this is all set in
the conf folder and the red5.properties file
I have not had time to do much with red 5 (I wanted to carry on my
ffmpeg builds but I have not learnt much on red 5 since 0.3 - which
was very different)
I have posted this on the red 5 forum so more people can chip in if
needs be
Hope this is a little bit of help.....
Thanks
Adam
*Please note I cannot vouch for MAMP or MAMP Pro as the best choices
(I have MAMP on my desktop/laptop and rolled my own apache server a
long time ago using custom builds)
Hello,
I see Thijs got his installer done today as well as me :) - here is a

Hi Adam,
Sorry if i write you by this way and not by Red5 mailing-list.
I had try to work with red5 app here in my mac, and i not have
many success...
I read your link :
http://osflash.org/pipermail/red5_osflash.org/2006-November/

And i downloaded the dmg, but... what is the difference between this
dmg and the dmg for download in the osflash page?.
I read the information in flashextensions, and I looked the
tutorials,
but dont know what i make wrong.
I am new in red5, and the full information is for windows platform...
Here, in Chile, the people not knows about it, i had to try in
spanish
forums, and the information is not complete or people not have
experiences with red5 and macintosh.
Can you help me if is possible?
I have several doubts about, what i need to install in the server
(remote server), what folder? or the full folder that i downloaded?.
In the remote server, I need some specific open port?
I hope you can to help me, anyway i will try to ask in the osflash
mailing list.
Very thanks and regards.
