Hi Lenny,
I just took a moment to check out streaming from your server. I used my
own version of the oflaDemo player - which if you'd like, you can find
here:
http://www.npj.com/red5/
And I just guessed that you're using "rtmp://fatdot.com/oflaDemo" so that
worked. The "Greetings From Lenny" clip played back really well the first
time - the buffer length stayed at about 0.2 seconds and only broke the
stream briefly three times during the 3:40 clip.
You do have amazing acoustics in your bathroom! And what kind of
headset/mic are you using?
When I tried the National Treasure clip, it was much choppier to playback
- and it would stutter every half second or so. I couldn't tell what the
datarate for the encoded file was - I'd be curious to know since it looks
like a pretty high bitrate or frequent keyframes. The video quality and
audio quality were exceptional - but after a few seconds of playback it
would close my connection and I'd have to reconnect again, so it doesn't
stream very well at all.
Spiderman and the Star Wars trailers both streamed back without a problem.
Fleetfeet streamed back also fine - the video quality was rough and
pixelated though - but the playback didn't have any breaks.
Hope that helps!
It's snowing here in Colorado today.
