Hi Max,

It doesn't seem to work with the play(url, time) button as you'd like -
however what I notice is that the value in the "Time" box is actually
being translated into a delay before playback.  If you put in, say, 10,
then press that button, in about ten seconds, it will start to playback.

The docs for the play command say:

play (NetStream.play method)
public play(name:Object, start:Number, len:Number, reset:Object) : Void

I wonder if you have to give some value for all three of the other fields?
