Luke, thanks for your answer.

I think that setting some buffer adjustments won´t help me very much, because
my application don´t use audio or video streams, only sharedObject and
NetConnections method calls. Anyway, i´ll try to see.

Yeah, Red5 freeze issue didn't was fixed on 0.6r3. We re-opened Jira Ticket for
that problem (APPSERVER-98).

About an application to simulate the problem, i´ll investigate the better way
to do that.

Best Regards,

Luiz Filipe.

  Hi Luiz,

Right you need the red5-core.xml from trunk, or just copy those values to
your red5-core.xml. Latest trunk code isnt required. The changes fix the issue
with red5 buffering ( stream slowing down ) when latency of the connection
increases.

It does not fix the issue with a thread getting stuck. I think Joachim fixed
one such issue for rc3, but the problem still remains so we will need to look
deeper into the issue before rc4 or final is released.

One thing you, or any other user affected by this problem can do to help the
developers is to create a simple test app (swf) which can be used to replicate
the problem (as fast as possible). I generally find, once someone posts a
program which can cause an error, it doesnt take long before a developer gets
it fixed.

  Regards,
  Luke

    Hi Luke.

I think that i need to get the latest version from the trunk, because 0.6r3
release package don´t have these entries on red5-core.xml.

Another question, do you really think that changing theses values can avoid
Red5 to freeze ?
Do you have any tip of the better values to put on buffer settings...

Thanks a lot for any help,

    Luiz Filipe.

Hi, Luke how´re doing. I´m sorry didn´t see your email before.

Yes, we are testing on Internet.
Nowadays our connected uses average is 200, but i´m afraid that this
number will decrease fast because Red5 freeze every day.
We upgrade to 0.6r3, but it continues to freeze.

I was looking red5-core.xml, but i couldn´t find these buffer settings,
could you post some examples, please.

Locate the bean class: <bean class="
org.apache.mina.integration.spring.Binding"> and buffer configuration is there.

        Thanks in advance,

        Luiz Filipe.

If you are stress testing red5 can you add the new properties in
red5-core.xml which set the buffer sizes. See the thread on buffering
issue. This makes a big difference if you are doing a test over the
internet. If your tests are on a local lan, chances are you wont
        notice any difference.
