Interesting questions, its something windows media has standard in its 
snap in control panel. You can choose a playlist template file for a 
particular path, so it would play a stream before the clip and then a 
stream after the clip.

I guess you could do the same but have the client do this, so play a 
live server side stream at the start, and then a live server stream at 
the end. This should be done in the server side application really I guess.
