I added (and tested) SSL and Auth with the latest trunk, you should update to it and look at the configuration updates specifically the red5-common.xml. I believe your remote stuff will work now. Also the build.xml has settings for using ssl and auth in server_java6, server_java5, and shutdown if you need examples (they are disabled by default)
