Hi Aaron, By default it seems flash player on macbooks selects the wrong video source. The user needs to go to settings, cameras, then select "USB class video".

I've posted to this list several times asking for help with why all the Red5 recording demos create empty files on the server, but nobody has responded yet. I'm beginning to lose hope. This has been extremely frustrating, but I might have a clue now. I've been working on just trying to record an audio stream from the users microphone with Red5 for over a month now. I've tried all the sample swf's included with Red5, created a custom swf with Flash CS3, created a custom OpenLaszlo app, and messed around with the source for the included .fla samples to try to figure out what's going on. None of these things have worked. I finally have an idea. It seems that all Red5 applications that I've seen posted to this list do not work with the builtin microphone and iSight on my Macbook Pro. I know that flash interacts fine with the microphone (which is all I care about) because www.midomi.com works just fine. Do any other Mac users out there have any idea what the problem is, and is there some way I can alleviate it in case other macbook pro users try to access my site?
