Yes I believe there should be a sharing rather than conflicting of 
ideas. Collaboration works best. I think we proved that with the FMS 
bandwidth detection port. I did some of the labourish work to port it to 
java / red5. I got onto the wowza lists about it also and seems there 
was a thread with my code which I wasnt told about though, which was 
then improved and ported back to wowza. Its now ported back to red5 
crediting the poster and works even though i still think the initial FMS 
code is a hack and it could be done more accurately via mina ? Ie it 
doesnt produce results properly over latency connections, sluggish 
machines, and bottlenecked lans. I liked Wowzas xml configs alot, simple 
and clean, and it comes standard with logging.
