Hello, I have tried Flix and Flash media encoder without any clever success. Picture quality looks fine but the feed looks like red5 gets only the keyframes. That's a bit funny to look because I can change that "still slide show" with keyframe duration and sound comes perfectly all the time. =) The conclusion of mine is red5 can't get flix and flash media encoder metadastream correctly and that's the major reason why flix and fme don't work. Perhaps somewherethere is some codeguru who can solve this. In future it would be nice to stream vp6 encoded stream with mencoder or vlc... =)
Oh well... The reason I would like to use some dedicated encoder is the browserapplet is quite slow and quality is a bit crappy. Or maybe my tired fruitcake brains are too wasted to think. :-) -Mikael ----- Original Message ----- From: Dominick Accattato To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, May 28, 2007 2:07 AM Subject: Re: [Red5] Streaming Video and Audio Clients I believe it works, yes. This is unfortunate because the video quality with FME is so much better than what is achievable using a simple flash client. Any success stories with FME? _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org -- Dominick Accattato, CTO Infrared5 Inc. www.newviewnetworks.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org
