hello list

I think it's my first post here, although I've been here for a few month.
I'm back from Web Flash Festival in Paris, where I and two
net.artists(Annie Abrahams & Nicolas Frespech) presented a performance
which uses
simple video streaming with OpenLaszlo and Red5.
I've been working with Red5 for a little while, now, always for "media arts"
projects.

The Web Flash Festival, although its name and the fact that it is funded by
Adobe (among others), invited Douglas Elric Stanley for a presentation of
Processing (http://processing.net).
It is a very interresting development environnement for artists, based on
Java, and able to produce applications or Java Applets for the web.
Lots of artists (including me) really enjoy processing, because it's at the
same time really simple, and very customizable and extendable (lots of very
powerful third party libraries already exists), and it has lots of very
useful features for artists, that Flash doesn't have (OpenGL, sound
synthesis, video analysis/detection, ...).
But lots of artists (including me) keep working with Flash mainly for its
video streaming possibilities.

As Red5 is Java based as well, and Processing already has a few video
possibilities (mainly based on Quicktime), I was wondering if it was
possible to build a Processing package that would enable the use of
Processing together with Red5, for video streaming, and maybe convenient
stuff like Shared Objects and so on.

I have very few knowledge in Java development, but I and maybe others would
be very interrested in any resource that could help doing this.
I know, also, that there would be lots of licence issues around such a
project (uses of RTMP, AMF, FLV, ...) that could possibly make it totally
impossible, but ...

what do you think ?
