Hi all,

I have been using red5 since version 0.5 on two webcam chat sites. Peak
usage was so far only around 20 people, but with the exception of the
(now fixed) audio problems and the odd server crash it has been working
great. CPU load with 20 people was around 10-20% on an old celeron box.

Due to a total lack of java or actionscript knowledge the flash applet
code is as dirty as most learning expriences are and quite a few things
which should be done server side are handled by the client, but things
work well.

If anyone wants to take a look, an open version of the chat can be found
here: http://www.vagipe.com

I had been thinking about offering the source code as a red5 demo, but I
am not sure if it would be such a good example for those starting to
learn actionscript ... Especially since the registration site version
does security by obscurity and flash 8 is complaining a lot about my use
of code outside classes in .as files. ;-)

Thomas
