Nate:
I saw a similar issue a while back. The solution that worked for me was to
create an empty movie clip to trap the incoming NetStream audio. Something
like:
createEmptyMovieClip("audio", getNextHighestDepth());
audio.attachAudio(stream);
var sound:Sound = new Sound(audio);
Then you can create a couple of buttons to control the volume, etc. of the
sound object. Check out the Flash documentation for the
MovieClip.attachAudio () function for more info.

I'm sure this has been answered multiple times, but I can't for the
life of me find information about this anywhere. Maybe I'm searching
for the wrong term. Here's what is happening.
I'm using the SimpleRecorder sample that comes with Red5. I record my
voice, and then it automatically plays backs. When it plays back, the voice
is slowed down and distorted. I ran into this before with Flash Media
Server, and was unable to fix it.
"I have a video conference application that takes up to 4 video/mic
feeds and streams it to the other users. It's a very simple video
chat. I have three of my friends from up here in Seattle log into it,
and everything works perfectly. I then have my friend from Arizona
log in, and we can hear him perfectly. However, the audio on his end
is distorted (it sounds like it's being played in slow-mo)."
I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing this. I'm also on a
MacBook Pro, using the internal mic. Maybe that could be causing an issue?
Thanks,
Nate
