Hello All,

Well I finally figured what I was doing wrong or better what I was leaving
out
of the Shared Object Video Conference App (no Chat at this point) in order
to pass
info from RED5 back to the Flex Client.

Basically, I converted the following Flex / FMS App to Flex / RED5.

To see the application run as a flex /FMS app go to
http://renaun.com/flex2/fms/VideoConferenceWDDJ/FlexVideoMain.html
To see the application's source code as a flex /FMS source go to
http://renaun.com/flex2/fms/VideoConferenceWDDJ/srcview/

Once of the main items that threw me with this app was the main.asc file
that contained all
the application. items.

I have now successfully added a number of users to the VC app and
everything appears to
be working.

I still need to clean up some code before I submit it to the RED5 Team for
consideration
for a demo.

I will place this app on my web server either Friday or Monday and see if
I can get some RED5 folks to help
me test.

In addition, I will also document what I did in order to get the app
working properly.

Sort of a "RED5 Shared Objects for Dummies" Like me. : )

It's amazing how one line of code kept me looking for the past three weeks
to find
a solution to get this app to work with RED5.

I hate to admit this but I am an experience Java programmer. I now really
understand how all the
newbies feel coming into RED5 with Java experience.

But on the the positive, once you've got it the shared object concept you
can extend it to other apps
and it sure is fine. : )

Regards,

Lenny
