hey lenny,
first of all, thanks for sending me the sources...

I successfully deployed the app and get the same #2044 error as described in previous posts. Do you have any idea why this error occurs? can I test something for you? where to stick in? is it possibly fp9 related?

Thanks again for your time.
kind regards,,

Hello All,

I will leave this app up for a couple of days for all to take a look.

Code (Flex 2 and Java Sources) is available for those who want to look at the logout to see if we can get the logged out user videocontainer removed from everyone's screen.

I have just run out of time to continue to work with this app at the moment.

Thanks to all who looked earlier today

Regards,

Lenny

Well, Looks like Lenny wins the dumb-ass award.

Give another few secs. Seems in my brilliance that I did not change
the rmtp from an internal IP to the external IP in flex.

My bad.

Hnmm,

Yep, Let me update this on server.

It is updated to 2094 on my test server.

Give me about 20 minutes to update.

Thanks for the heads up.

Doesn't work either, but it might be the flashplayer 9 beta issue with red5. Are you using a svn revision older than 2092 [1]?

Hey Jake,

Thanks for your response.

Do you have a webcam?

Basically, this app currently requires only a webcam. No chat yet.

Lenny

Hello All,

I have placed a Shared Object Video Conference app on my server that works ok.

http://67.79.48.170:8080/red5/FlexVideoMain.html

I have run into some interesting items via the Flash Debug player as an example below shows: (this happened in the VideoPod.mxml file)

Error #2044: Unhandled NetStatusEvent:. level=error, code=NetStream.Publish.BadName
 at VideoPod/::init()
 at VideoPod/___Panel1_creationComplete()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/ flash.events:EventDispatcher::dispatchEventFunction ()
 at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()
 at mx.core::UIComponent/dispatchEvent()
 at mx.core::UIComponent/set initialized()
 at mx.managers::LayoutManager/::doPhasedInstantiation()
 at Function/ http://adobe.com/AS3/2006/builtin::apply()
 at mx.core::UIComponent/::callLaterDispatcher2 ()
 at mx.core::UIComponent/::callLaterDispatcher()

However with the above error, the users still display in the video containers.

One thing I have run into is logging out. While the user logging out is removed from his on screen the user is not removed from any other users still online. I simply have not had time to run this down yet.

If anyone would like a copy of this app along with my java sources for review, please email me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] .

I would like for another set of eyes to take a look at things to see if I have done anything wrong with this app before
it is offered it to the RED5 Team as a demo application.

I would really like for someone to take a look at the logout piece to see what I am missing where the logged out user is not removed from all the other users screens. It believe NetStatus should pick this up reset everyone's video containers.

Thanks to Renaun Erickson for his original Flex 2 / FMS example made available via his Blog.

Thanks,

Lenny
