Hi - I've found why it didn't work - I'm working with a Mac G4 and the localhost works a bit different here: First you have to go to: - system preferences / sharing / and tick there the box "Personal Web Sharing" - That was the missing bit; And then - you'll have to use instead the localhost your local IP, something like: http://192.168.7.16/~Jens/recorder.html
The confusing bit for newbies on a Mac (only on Mac?) is that you'll need to go for the Simplerecorder_HTML-starter within the Samplesfolder over the localhost. In contrary the Simplerecorder-HTML-starter in the DEV_Source-Folder doesn't need to go over the localhost to record files... I think it is necessary to make clear to avoid such questions in future ;) Thanks for your support!!! -------- Original-Nachricht -------- Datum: Mon, 25 Jun 2007 21:38:40 +0200 Von: Thijs Triemstra | Collab <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> An: [email protected] Betreff: Re: [Red5] SimpleRecorder - 2 versions > Hi Jens, > > > Hi - im brand new to Red5 - I'm wondering, because the > > SimpleRecorder in the samples-folder (that one with the embedded > > Actionscript) is only working, if started from Flash.
