My apology if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find any info specifically on this.
I'd like to set up a linux box with a wintv card and Red5, and have the video continuously captured, converted to FLV on the fly (with ffmpeg?), and published as a live stream on Red5 for access by flex/flash clients remotely. There would be no storage of video, it would all be on the fly (live stream from the Red5 host server's v4l video input). Is this possible without running a flash player client to capture the video and send the stream to Red5?
