I have some questions in regards to how streams are served which pertains to
server design:
When a user requests a stream, is the flv read from disk, stored in memory,
then served?
Is its read at the same speed it is served?
Does it stay in memory so that when user2 requests the same file it does not
touch the disk?
What happens when 3 users request the same file at close to the same time?

I am just trying to figure out the best design for server performance. Things
like, how much memory is needed, how many disk spindles are needed, RAID or
distribution of files over many volumes. Do I need a dedicated volume just for
this? Etc...

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Ben
