Hi Mel,

I had success setting up Red5 based on the following public image:
http://pauldowman.com/2007/06/10/public-ubuntu-ruby-on-rails-ec2-image/

After installing Java and Ant it was simply a matter of getting the tarball
and doing an "ant" to compile the sources. Don't forget to enable the Red5
ports with the Amazon tools...

Best,
Thomas

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone's running Red5 on AWS' EC2 service? The
only downside is that if EC2 goes down, you lose all of your data but
maybe this can be mitigated by backing up all the flv files over to S3
as soon as they're recorded... Anyway, just wondering if anyone has
gone through this process.

Thanks,

m.
