Hi list :)

I'm rather new to Red5.
Actually, I'm still using the Flash IDE (8)

My knowledge is rather limited on osflash things (except for amfphp).
I use Eclipse for php-stuff, but only with the php-plugins.
I tried to install the stuff needed to do actionscripting on it, but
I wasn't able to install it successfully.
I work on mac OSX, which doesn't make it easier to find a lot of
documentation.
Flex / AS 3.0 are no friends of mine: no time to digg into it and no
team projects that are allowing them.

We have a client who already has a Flash Media Server and is asking
us to develop 5 applications using streaming media (audio/video)
As we are only in the first stage, we are looking if it wouldn't be
interesting to use Red5

So tonight, I installed it on my local computer, and got it to work
(sort of)
However, if I wanno go the the admin, I get a javascript alert:

InvalidServerResponse [module 'xmlrpc' version 1.3.3]

and seems to have a 404 problem

Is it my mistake? Is it a RTFM-issue?
Or am I missing something?

We are not very familiar with Java, which we feel like a disadvantage
for using Red5 prior to FMS.
Do you guys agree, or is the need for Java-knowledge rather limited?

Thanks in advance for the answers.
I may not be a hightech developer like most of you guys,
so forgive me my newbie questions.

Greets,

Michel
