Is anyone aware of differences between the windows and linux?

============
Summary:
I have a new app that works under the windows vista version of red5,
simply copying the app to a debian linux version of red5 doesn't seem
to work. How do increase the detail of log output to see why red5
isn't properly registering my new application under linux?

Details:

I just completed the tutorial by Milan Toth (Thanks Milan!). Here is
the link to it:
http://www.actionscript.org/resources/articles/615/1/Getting-started-with-red5-server/Page1.html

I successfully completed the tutorial under Windows. Then I just
wanted to make sure that it also works under debian linux. To do so,
I simply copied the files from red5/webapps/red5FirstApp to the same
place under Linux.

When I start the server it seems to locate the new application just as
it does the others. I get the same log messages for red5FirstApp as I
do for the included midiDemo app. When I try to connect to the
application using the test client, the connection fails with a return
value of invalidApp. The client successfully connects to the midiDemo
app on the same server.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be? I start both servers
using "ant server", and as far as I can tell they are identical, so I
don't see why my app isn't registered properly on Linux, but seems to
work on windows :-/

Thanks in advance to anyone who spare a couple of minutes for a response.
