Hey Alexey, Thank you very much for responding. I forgot to mention in my first e-mail that both my windows box and linux box are running java 1.6, so I don't think that was it.
In any case I figured out something else that did work. I started from the Linux side, and re-did the tutorial. Actually, I started with the midiDemo files, and cut them down so only the appStart and appStop functions were there and renamed it to curtDemo. This got me something working under linux. Then I copied the files to the windows side, and tried again there and it worked! The sad part is I don't know for sure why it didn't work in the first place as there were no errors in the log, in fact the log seemed to indicate that red5 was working on both machines. My only theory is that the DOS end of line characters were somehow interfering with the linux red5 start up process, but I didn't have a chance to dos2unix every file, and since I have something working now, I'm not as motivated to try. So in case anyone else is developing on both linux and windows, start with the linux side files, as they seem to work on both platforms, but not the other way around. cheers, ~Curt _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org
