You can use whatever Servlet container you want. Jetty is much easier to use than Tomcat, at least as an embeded container, which is very usefull for testing. I use Jetty for developpement and Resin or Tomcat for production.

Using 6.1.5 is probably just a matter of switching libraries, althoug I did not try it.
