i also think most of the features they talk about at http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressmaterials/fms3/faq/ are just minor improvements over FMS2. They are not "totally new" as they mention.
the only major feature they add is H.264/AAC, which is nice for red5 since Adobe will probably be more aggressive on their pricing and licenses even for those who do not need to publish H.264 content. best, erbiL..
