Hi Paul,
Thanks for your help!
You pointed me just in the right direction. It was indeed a class loader issue.
I just needed to delete the classes folder in the WEB-INF folder of my
application folder. Now it runs fine.
Great!

It seems that you are having a classloader issue; you are trying to access a
scope that was created under a webapp classloader from a different webapp
classloader. To even get to this particular error I can assume that you have
moved some of the library jars to the common classloader.. I've been there. To
fix this you will need to move your application code under the red5 webapp and
use the AMF tunnel servlet from head (if you need AMF) to access red5 from your
webapp. In actuallity you will probably need to modify the tunnel servlet to
access the red5 war since it expects red5 to be the ROOT web context.

Hi guys,

I've been trying to get version 0.6.2 running again this morning. It installs
fine and runs fine, but once I add my application that was originally developed
for Red5 0.5 to the webapps directory and change the
build.xml accordingly, it gives me loads of errors of which most are like ==>>
Cannot convert value of type [org.red5.server.GlobalScope] to required type
[org.red5.server.api.IScope]

I've been looking how to solve this, by changing the
build.xml, and comparing the new examples to mine, because I think it is
something in the way I use the default Red5 functions, but I'm stuck. Is there
anything I should pay attention to when migrating from 0.5 to 0.6
. So maybe could anyone please give me just a slight hint into the right
direction. I would like to upgrade too ;-)

Thanks!

Best regards Marcel

Hi,

I installed red5 0.6.2 stable, put my application inside the webapps folder,
changed the build.xml file to reflect the new changes but i cannot build for an
obscure reason. A couple of these errors occur and my app (build for
0.5 version, that works fine) fails to start:

[java] java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot convert value of type
[org.red5.server.GlobalScope] to required type [org.red5.server.api.IScope] for
property 'par

ent': no matching editors or conversion strategy found

Could anyone point me in the right direction to solve this?

Best regards Marcel
