Manchester United are lining up Red Star Belgrade defender Nemanja Vidic for a possible move to Old Trafford, according to the Yugoslav club.
Red Star officials were reported in Belgrade as saying they had had official contacts with United about the 21-year-old. Sir Alex Ferguson's scouts have reportedly been impressed by Vidic's displays on a number of occasions, including an under-21 clash between Yugoslavia and England at Bolton last September. But any possible move to England could be problematic.
