Yes we did after Cloughie had told the world Derby County had bought him.
Ian Storey-Moore had decided he only wanted to play for a big club!

I was at Wembley when Storey-Moore got the injury which forced him to quit
the game. Playing, of course, for Hinger-f**king-land. He is one in a
(large) number of players from Manchester United who have collected
career-ending injuries playing for that set of ungrateful bastards.

Ian Storey-Moore was going to be a great player for Manchester United. Not
only that but he was going to improve the side so much that 'ordinary'
players would have improved. There's a good chance that Bestie may not have
packed in playing had Ian carried on. He was a truly great player. His pace
was absolutely fantastic. He could 'burst' into the box (like Lee-Won-Pen,
City's first Chinese player did) and get (would have got) shed loads of
penalties. He could beat a man. He was really good in the air. Had a
fantastic shot, either from a dead ball situation, or on the run.

I liked Ian Storey-Moore. I was devastated when he was forced to quit the
game after such a short time with us.

Do you think the bastards at the FA really did, or would, or could,
compensate us for the loss. We lost FAR more than just one player. We lost
hope for a few years. We would NOT have been relegated had Ian Storey-Moore
not had to quit. It's as simple as that.

Unrelated aside ................. The other day when the seagulls were
concocting this "UEFA to have match replayed as Manyoo (er..... that should
be Manchester United you bastards) play with 'weakened' side" bollocks, I
was reminded of me and my dad going to Ipswich for a Worthless Cup match
some years ago (lost, 0-2 I think can't remember) and the seagulls once
again going on about us playing a 'weakened side'. I seem to remember that
we had thirteen of fourteen players who were all full internationals (how
many of the EC side the other night WEREN'T full internationals - two?).

Then I got to thinking about Hinger-f**king-land.

They think they are a good team (though the Aussies proved that they
aren't, as the Aussies are shite let's face it. Only the arrogant Aussie's
could really believe that they are anything other than shite at football.
The football, I mean by the way, not played in those 'I'm-as-tough-as-f**k'
shirts. Why do those Aussie-rules players have to wear insulation tape
around their arms and those silly bloody shirts? Macho men the Aussies
aren't they. Well at least they worry the sheep!

Yet when you look at Hinger-f**king-land the only decent players they have
all play for ONE club, being Manchester United. And why have that group of
young men developed into international (no, WORLD) class footballers. Why?
Because the Wizard allowed them to play at the top level in the Worthless
Cup far earlier than the other clubs allowed their kids to. So the WHOLE
reason that Hinger-f**king-land has ANY decent players at all is because
the Wizard (a Scotsman by the way) played a number of 'weakened' teams in
the Worthless Cup over the years.

Now that Hinger-f**king-land have got those players the Wizard is saying
'we can now play a full strength team in the Worthless cup because we've
done our bit for Hinger-f**king-land' and he still gets shit from the seagulls.

Does the above make sense. Do I care? YES I BLOODY DO.

If only some mysterious illness could blight the seagulls (hit them
alone.... oh, and the bastards at the FA) wouldn't the world be a far
better place.

Rant over (for now!!!!!)

Keep the faith, Pete
