More talk of Glazier today.
Is anyone else concerned about these Murdoch friends (has he got any?) and
associates are piling our shares into their pockets?

Man Utd bid talk intensifies
By Dan Sabbagh The Times October 04, 2003
Bid speculation surrounding Manchester United intensified last night after a
mystery buyer snapped up another large block of shares not long before the
stock market closed.
Shares in the football club jumped another 7 per cent to 218p, making them
the third strongest riser in the FTSE 250. Officials at Manchester United
could offer no explanation for the price movement or shed light on the
identity of the buyer, who picked up three million shares at 220p.
The likely explanation is that Malcolm Glazer, the American sports property
investor who owns the American football team the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, is
buying up more shares in the club. He has been actively acquiring the stock
over the past fortnight, and raised his stake to nearly 6 per cent earlier
this week.
The club, which is trying to contact Mr Glazer, has not met him as yet and
does not know what his intentions are.
Mr Glazer controls First Allied Corporation, a property company that,
according to its website, pays all cash for investments of anywhere from
$3 million to $500 million. However, Manchester United will cost a little
more than that: at yesterdays close the club was worth 566 million.
Mr Glazer could not be contacted for comment
