I could be wrong, but I think your only option here is copy the
element into the clipboard. So, from the SmartTree:

- Expand the content class where the element exists
- Expand "Content Elements"
- Double-click the element to copy it to clipboard
- Expand the new content class
- Click on "Content Elements"
- From the actions menu, click "Connect to Element in Clipboard"

>From what I know this is the only way to "reuse" elements.
