Their own documentation says that hot fixes do not go through the same
quality control process as service packs and should only be applied to deal
with a specific issue. Given how many issues upgrades have given people, I
don't blame you being reluctant to do this on a whim. I certainly don't
apply them unless they will deal with a specific bug.
