You typically can't import from a newer version into an older version
of CMS via the interface (unless it's only a minor hotfix version
difference).

In your case your dev version is 7.5 sp1 and the prod is 7.5 - and
generally with each new release (major version number or service pack)
the database schema changes slightly and the CMS internal database
schema reference version number will increment.

So, the options you've got are:
1. If it's only the templates that have changed in your project, you
can export (and import) each one individually from SmartTree - but it
can be tedious if there's a lot.
2. Upgrade your prod version to at least the same as your dev version
3. Try hacking the export files to modify the version numbers
(although there might be some checksums that'll bring you unstuck)
4. Backup the specific project databases from your dev db server and
restore on your prod db server (and assign the sql user used by RedDot
as dbo).
Then, to get RedDot to recognise it - manually edit the IO_PRJ table
in the ioAdministration table on production with the rows relevant to
your project, as per your dev db server.
(I haven't explicitly tried this, so there may be other tables in the
ioAdministration database and it could be a bit of trial and error)
If you have any files in the file system, copy them across as normal
Finally, in server manager (as per an upgrade) - if your project has
appeared - upgrade it and assign the appropriate users, lock status,
fix and paths, etc.
Obvoiusly, with this option - ensure you backup all your CMS databases
in case something goes wrong!
