Hi there,

One of the downsides to inserting images into the text editor is that
the Alt tags entered in whilst selecting/uploading images wont be
inserted into the markup.

This is also the case if you have custom attributes assigned to files
within the Asset Manager.. theres no way you can inserted them
automatically.

To get around this problem, i generally add a image placeholder to
each template i create so that users can add a single image to the
page (which is generally the norm anyway) - and all of the formatting/
alt tags/captions etc are added to the page automatically. Your
stylesheet can then float this image left or right depending on how
you want the image to sit within the page. Any other images that need
to be displayed within a page can be added using the Text Editor via a
Text placeholder.
