First try with IE 8 compatibility mode on a Vista visiting CMS 7.5 Server. I was able to access Server Manager and SmartTree. Once I started editing a template, the issue with placeholder buttons (creating a placeholder, deleting one or modifying one.) recurred. I was not able to access the button again if it was clicked once before.
I will try it on CMS 9 when I get a chance.
