Just one random thought: FatWire is not as run-time neutral as RedDot CMS in terms of the published Web site. With RedDot CMS, your CMS system itself is confined to the Windows platform but your published sites can have just about any run-time or scripting engine -- though with the current version, managing a full-blown asp.net application in RedDot CMS is no trivial task. With FatWire -- my knowledge can be 10-month old which in this day and age can be totally obsolete -- the CMS system itself and the published sites are all confined to Java (or JEE or J2EE or whatever you call it.) RedDot's own merit aside, my guess is that you guys are less likely to get married with FatWire than with RedDot since Java is not mentioned as a core skill of your team. But I could be wrong ...
