We can log in and load the elements manually using the "dummy" RQL user no problem - it has what amounts to admin priviledges on all projects.
We just tried the plugin on a test project and it's returning the <ELEMENT> nodes just fine, so it's at least not the code. We're now comparing the project settings and narrowing the possible list of culprits.
