The speed at which something appears in a search can be dependent on a
number of factors.* how many documents in the queue.
* number of documents sent to the queue at any one time
* cache settings on objects.
* cache settings on search queries
* and probably others I can't think of right now.

That said, it generally takes a few minutes for things to show up. If you're
waiting 15 minutes and there's no other indexing going on, I'd investigate
the config settings for files sent to the Verity queue. These are documented
in the LiveServer doco and are changed in the startup.conf file or in the
database admin depending on your set up.
