Hi Kang;

We've had issues w/ the "WAR" part of the install. Another thing we
attempted was to install as normal using Tomcat (including the database
initialization) and then WAR it up and move to another application server.
You should just have to make sure your JNDI settings are right.

Subject: [reddot] Deploy RedDot Delivery Server on WebSphere

Hi Kang,

Run the installable on the first CD and select the option for installation
as a WAR file.

WAR file name should be cps.war

You will be asked for a path where the WAR file should be stored.

Please see that you provide proper port numbers. In our case it was 9080 for
the web application. Usually 8080 is given in case of Tomcat.

After some time a prompt will pop up asking for the second disk.

Note down the setup user id and password which you will give at the final
stages of the installation. These will be used during the war file
deployment process.

Generally the installation process is same as shown in the Installation
manual's War file installation section.

Once trhe WAR file is generated deploy it in Websphere as you deploy any
other web application.

Once this is done access the Liveserver using "http://<host
name>:<port>/cps/rde"

This will start the setup process where you will create the user and system
databases.

Iam trying to search a document which has screen shots of the installation.
If I find it I will be sending it to you.

Mean while if you have any problems you can mail me.

Regards,
Chandrakanth
