I might be missing something here, but if you are creating 'sub pages' (or what i generally refer to as 'page parts' rather than a full page) - these pages should ALWAYS be linked via containers. Anything inside containers don’t get published out as separate pages (files) during publication..
Lists and anchors on the other hand should only be connected to 'full' or 'foundation' pages.. Therefore, if you connect any of your 'page parts' to a list or anchor, you will never view the page in its correct context if the user clicks on the link to that page. If you need to share a 'page part' across multiple foundation/full pages, connect it up to a container and then reference that container across your site to reuse it. Alternatively, if you keyword that page part to appear elsewhere, ensure that the corresponding keyword is assigned to containers across your site only (never lists or containers - otherwise you will be publishing incomplete pages) Hope that all makes sense. Apologies if i have missed the point of your post.. if so, reply back and i'll endeavour to help you out!
