Hi, Having a strange issue on a RedDot site I didn't build but sometimes support (so while I'm reasonably familiar with the organisation and the site, some of the set-up quirks I've missed out on).
The site is using the expiration workflow to force the administrator to check pages every six months. However, I'm not sure this is being done correctly - pages seem to drop out of the navigation after that time. They remain connected to the site's a-z sitemap list, however, which all pages automatically connect to using a pre-defined keyword associated with the content class. The strange thing is that the a-z list has the same workflow with the expiration connected - in fact all links have this. Surely when a page expires it should be removed from the a-z list as well and effectively become an orphan? When the pages drop off the main link they seem to lose sub-navigation as well, although that could be the sub nav expiring at the same time as in most cases they were created/last released at the same point. Does anyone know any other reasons a page could drop off its main link? I'd like to ask the client to drop expiration from the workflow completely to solve this issue - a couple of out of date pages seems less of a problem to me than whole sections of the site dissappearing. Cheers. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RedDot CMS Users" group.
