Should have been more specific...

There is a global nav for levels 1 and 2, which never expands - just
highlights which route you've taken.

The separate, additional left-hand nav on each page effectively starts
from level 2 downwards, showing the level 2 selected from the global
nav, and subsequent children.
E.g. if global nav option selected is 'News and events', then the left-
hand menu on the page all of the 'News and Events' children:
- News
- University News
- Events
- Press releases.

In turn, if one of these level 3 choices is picked, the level 4
options are shown (the other level 3 options remain).

I just can't do it based on the example code from the big training
manual - any ideas?
