Hello a_v_junkie , 1.I also got the same error and for me the problem was - I was not having the correct priviledges to publish my files to the FTP directory. When you define an FTP publishing target, you specify the Username and password. This user should have the priviledges to publish the files on the FTP Server.
2. Can you please post your virtual directory name, actual directory name and the url that you provided did while defining the publishing target like "ftp://url/<name of the folder>" Can you provide <the name of the folder> and also the topmost publishing structure folder name, just to check if there is any mistake here.
