Yes, I believe so. Look in the dynament manual (I'm using the 4.0 manual) for "Importing the Reference List for Metadata" It tells you the syntax of the XML you'll need to generate. I've only done it from CMS to DS, but I assume you just import the XML file as a file import, and as it imports the file, it processes the nodes you have in there for each file name. If you don't have unique names project wide, make sure to enter something in the group attribute. You should be able to get eveything you need to construct the XML file out of verity in the first place. You many have to chink it up a bit - I'm not sure what kinds of limits you'll hit in file size and processing times.
