Hi Bekah, if you want to change the template of a page then you just have to click on the page in SmartTree and then coose "Replace Content Class". In the upcoming dialogue you can then choose another content class (with the same amount of templates) and define whether you would like to just replace the content class for this specific page or for all pages based on this content classs.
The question regarding a default template is difficult to answer because I don't really get what the goal should be. If you want to define a specific display format (HTML, XML, etc.) then you can do this when opening the user settings. There you can define the project variant that shall be used to display the content. If your question is more like:"How can I define that users can just choose specific content classes in a specific area of the project" then we speak about preassignment of content classes. This can be done by clicking on a link/list/container and then on "Preassign content classes" via the action menu. If you don't find the things I mentioned then ask the question again at www.SolutionExchange.info. There we would have the option to upload images (e.g.: screenshots) to make it easier to find things.
