@Markus, out of curiosity, do you have a DS cluster? And if so, is the issue that you’re seeing that the cache is only invalidated on the DS node to which you’re publishing (henceforth, referred to as the primary node)? It’s been my experience that problems with improper cache invalidation in cluster environments are usually a result of cluster communication not working properly. Let me know if this sounds like it could be the case. As far as the various roles go, you can find detailed info in the DS 9.0 “Part III: Users/Administration” guide, specifically the section “Predefined User Roles” on page 53.
