I think the problems are twofold:

1) If it's an IE problem, then we really need an updated SmartTree that
works in all browsers.
2) The specific problem I mention was actually after I wrote a script in a
text editor, pasted it into the ASP content class shell, and saved the
file. The quotes got removed before I published the script, and the missing
quotes triggered server error 500s.
