Hi Daniel I found this a while ago and reported the issue, and it was confirmed as a bug with ID WSGMS-4924 in July 2010.
Basically, trying to work with spaces in HtmlConvertTable doesn't work...this was the official response: "HTMLConvertTable functionality is not really meant for this kind of thing, and is not meant to contain spaces in the replacement code - so that kind of explains the problems we are seeing in this ticket. They did say I could raise a bug for it and they accept it is a valid bug, it will not be addressed as a priority as it is more of a "nice to have" rather than a crucial flaw in product functionality." As it's been two and a half years, I think you can assume it is not going to be fixed...
