That sounds like an invisible area of the embedded object is overlapping
the buttons. You could easily use CSS in your editor style sheet to move
the buttons, or set the buttons position: relative and z-index (some high
number), or better, figure out how the embbeded object is wrapped and
correct it.

Without seeing the specifics, I can't tell you which would work best. But
I've done them all   ;-)
