Hi Richard,

thanks for your reply.
Yes - we are sure that we want to try this, because in fact this is a
suggestion that can be found in a presentation of the WSM product manager
himself: https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll/Open/27470608

We are pretty sure that the basic configuration has been completed
successfully. To verify this, we have written the mentioned PHP test
script. This script does not use RQL or something, but it creates a
connection to the CMS database using pdo_sqlsrv.
A simple select to the IO_PRJ table in the ioAdministration database works
fine, when accessing the PHP script through IIS. When monitoring network
traffic, this traffic is using the correct network interface.

So from this point on we expected that the server itself can connect to the
database when accessing through an IIS application - but in fact the
Management Server can not.

When trying to log on into MS, we get several errors in dberror.log
<Message>Could not open a database connection</Message>
<SqlStatement>CommandText is null or empty</SqlStatement>

During this, we can not see any TCP traffic on the network interface,
although this is the case when trying traceroute, telnet or PHP.
The only thing we're seeing are some UDP packages, which is kind of
strange...
