No problem.

I tested switching project variants using info element in Management Server 
11.0 Build 11.0.1.277 without any issues.

I have 2 info elements

<a href="<%inf_page_url_html%>">HTML</a> | <a href="<%inf_page_url_mobile%
>">Mobile</a>

I think the reason why you are not able to swtich is because both project 
variants are assigned to use the same content class template.



Make sure you go to the content class, select Templates, action menu, 
assign project variants.  Please post back if you have more questions.
