modify the News List and do target container this way

News Page 2013 
- con_content (Target Container)
  - News List
    - con_news_content
    - list_newsitems > Target con_news_content
      - News Item 1
      - News Item 2

This way, the preassignment can be done at content class level, so user 
don't have to do target container assignment after page creation.  It gives 
the usability of It Just Works.

Also, this would solve the following and related page issue.

Well, you may want to put in some code and say, if con_news_content is 
showing content, don't show the list_newsitems, so you can avoid having 
that list showing in all your news articles.
